Conservation Celebration to be Held Sept. 8

CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield County Conservation District will be hosting their third annual Conservation Celebration at Curwensville Lake on September 8.

This event offers a variety of activities for kids of all ages. Children have the opportunity to learn more about conserving and protecting natural resources while participating in a number of hands-on activities.

Some of these activities include fly fishing, canoe and kayak demonstrations, and gun safety. There will be a chance to create “make-it-and-take-it” projects, the opportunity to learn more about live amphibians and reptiles, as well as a variety of games. The event will also have a special visit from Clearfield County Dairy Maid Laura Grace Orner.

The fun begins at 11 a.m. and continues until 3 p.m. All activities are free. For more information contact the Clearfield County Conservation District at 765-2629 or visit our Web site.
