Final Rebate Checks Issued by DuBois Airport

FALLS CREEK – If you applied for a rebate check for flying out of or into the DuBois Regional Airport before May 31, know that your check is in the mail.

The Clearfield-Jefferson Counties Regional Airport Authority issued the final group of checks for the $100 Rebate Program at the airport.

Checks for rebate requests received from November through May 31 that met eligibility requirements according to the program rules and regulations were mailed out Tuesday.

According to Bob Shaffer, airport manager, due to the long turn-around for the receipt of funds from the grant program that facilitated the rebates, the airport authority approved obtaining a loan to cover outstanding rebate requests. Upon receipt of the loan, the authority issued rebate checks for all eligible applications.

The rebate program at DuBois Regional Airport was made possible through a grant from the Federal Department of Transportation Small Community Air Service Development Program, enacted to help small communities address various air service issues.

Rebate requests were accepted through May 31, at which point all 4,000 available rebates were requested.

Questions on the rebates can be directed to the airport authority at 328-5311.
