IRVONA – A group proposing to build a women’s re-entry facility in Beccaria Township will hold a public meeting Wednesday night.
Representatives of Tomorrow’s Hope will be available to discuss and respond to questions by the community.
The proposed facility has been under fire by residents of Beccaria Township and the surrounding communities after it was recently announced that the facility would be located in Beccaria Township. At a recent meeting of the Clearfield County Planning Commission those concerned residents expressed concern over how the facility would impact property values, crime rates and whether there are enough emergency services to provide help to such a facility should the need arise, among other issues.
The meeting will be held a the Irvona Fire Hall at 7 p.m.
GantDaily will be there to provide coverage of the event.
