PUNXSUTAWNEY – State police in Punxsutawney found a man they were searching for dead near his ATV on Monday afternoon.
According to police, troopers were investigating the disappearance of Punxsutawney resident Benjamin Line, 24-years-old. Line had been missing from his home since Sunday around 3 p.m. His family grew concerned and and contacted the state police on Monday around 12:35 p.m. after Line had not shown up for work and other family members and friends were unable to contact him.
Line’s ATV was also missing from his home.
Around 1:30 Monday Line was found dead near his ATV off of a dirt road about one mile from his residence. Jefferson County Coroner Bernard Snyder pronounced Line dead a the scene.
Police state that the death does not appear suspicious but that the investigation will continue.
Troopers were assisted at the scene by members of the McCalmont Township, Elk Run, Knox Township and Big Run Fire Companies.
