Delays Expected as Work Continues on I-80 Project

CLEARFIELD – Motorists can expect delays along Interstate 80 in Clearfield County as crews continue roadway repairs. On Friday, crews are scheduled to pave the westbound on-ramp and eastbound off-ramp at the Kylertown/133 interchange. Delays are likely as work takes place from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Weather permitting, eastbound work between mile marker 127 and the Kylertown/133 exit will be finished on Friday. Sometime this weekend, eastbound work will then be located between mile marker 133 and mile marker 138 (Viaduct bridge). The left (passing) lane will remain closed in this area. This work, which includes milling, paving, guide rail, and bridge repair, is expected to last about ten days.

The westbound work zone between mile marker 126 and the Kylertown/133 interchange remains in place, with the right (travel) lane closed. The Pennsylvania State Police will be on site to assist with traffic control through the entire work zone. All work is weather-dependent.

The contractor on the $12.3 million project is New Enterprise Stone and Lime Co. Inc.

All work is part of PennDOT’s I-80 project from the Clearfield/120 exit to the Centre County line.

PennDOT reminds drivers to move through all work zones with caution, obey posted speed limits and always buckle-up.
