DUBOIS – A Newmanstown woman was airlifted for medical treatment following an accident on Interstate 80 Thursday.
Esther Johnson, 19, was traveling west on I-80 when she attempted to pass a tractor trailer. She traveled off the south berm and into the median where she began to slide in a clockwise direction. Her vehicle overturned in the median and came to rest on its wheels facing east.
Johnson suffered moderate injuries and was flown from the scene by Stat MedEvac to Altoona Hospital for treatment.
Officers were assisted at the scene by Oklahoma and Adrian Volunteer Fire Departments and DuBois Emergency Medical Services.
