Primary Election is May 15

CLEARFIELD – In one week, Clearfield Countians will head to the polls to choose candidates in several races.

The one that is arguably garnering the most attention is the race for Clearfield County commissioner. Nine candidates will vie for three positions in the fall, but the race will be one of note as seven of the candidates are on the Republican ticket for the May 15 primary. Click here to see what the candidates said when answering GantDaily’s questions. Voters will be able to vote only for the candidates in their registered party in the primary.

After the votes are tallied in the commissioners’ race, the top vote-getters will appear on the November ballot

Other county seats, such as district attorney and register and recorder show one candidate for each the Democratic and Republican parties in the primary. The candidates will run against one another in the general election.

GantDaily will watch for the results of the commissioners’ race on election night, May 15. We will post the results here. The results of other races will also be available on the site.
