Legal Eagles Particiants Receive Recognition from Gov. Rendell

CLEARFIELD – On behalf of Gov. Edward G. Rendell, Marjorie Rendell, first lady and Pennsylvania judge, congratulated recent graduates from the Legal Eagles program.

The Legal Eagles program works to help elementary students learn how to make good decisions and show them possibilities in law enforcement careers.

“Each of you is to be commended for your successful completion of this program and for taking the first steps toward becoming informed citizens,” said Marjorie Rendell in a letter to Legal Eagles.

She went on to say that participants have been given vital information on peer pressure, bullying and Internet safety and have been given the necessary tools and skills to make informed, moral decisions, with respect to the quality of life, not only for yourselves, but for their fellow citizens

“Such involvement has given you a better understanding of the importance of critical thinking skills, conflict resolution, and the art of dialog and discourse,” said Marjorie Rendell.

“Again, congratulations and please accept my best wishes for a lifetime of successful learning.”

The Legal Eagles program serves students in St. Francis Elementary School, West Branch and Curwensville school districts.
