Soccer Complex Burglarized, Suspect Arrested

PHILIPSBURG – State police in Philipsburg reported that soccer complex at Project 70 was broken into between Sunday and Monday.

Stolen were numerous types of concession items, some of which have been recovered.

Upon further investigation police began to narrow down and suspects. The first person to be arrested resulting from the investigation was 18-year-old Philipsburg resident Kurtis A. Reeder.

Reeder was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Allen Sinclair on charges of burglar, criminal trespass, criminal conspiracy, theft by unlawful taking or disposition, receiving stolen property and criminal mischief.

Reeder was placed in Centre County Jail in lieu of $2,500 bail. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 9.

State police said that additional arrests are anticipated as a result of the investigation.
