HERSHEY – Two state police troopers were promoted to the rank of corporal recently in a ceremony held at Founder’s Hall in Hershey.
Gary J. Simler of West Decatur and Brian S. Pollick of Osceola Mills were named corporals in a ceremony Friday, State Police Commissioner Jeffrey B. Miller announced.
Simler was stationed at the Clearfield barracks and will move to Troop H. in York.
Pollick will move to Media after being stationed in Philipsburg.
State police ranks are cadet, trooper, corporal, sergeant, lieutenant, captain, major, lieutenant colonel and colonel.
Simler and Pollock were among 39 troopers promoted to corporal Friday.
