CLEARFIELD – A Clearfield woman was sentenced to 45 days in Clearfield County Jail for endangering the welfare of her children.
Connie English was also sentenced to two years probation on that charge, shall not drink alcoholic beverages or enter Establishments that serve alcoholic beverages. She was also ordered by Clearfield County Judge Paul E. Cherry to complete the Nurturing Program at the Children’s Aid Society.
English was found guilty of endangering the welfare of children and resisting arrest by a jury on Feb. 28. English was accused of leaving her children home alone while she went to find her boyfriend while she was intoxicated. At one point when officers arrived, she struggled against them.
“There’s no excuse to leave children of that age by themselves while your searching for your boyfriend,” said Cherry.
English was also sentenced for hindering apprehension or prosecution. She received two years of probation on that charge.
