UPDATE: Megan’s Law Offender Arrested in DuBois

DUBOIS – Sandy Township Police are releasing details on just how a Megan’s Law offender who was wanted in Allegheny County was taken into custody Tuesday night.

Sandy Township Police and DuBois City Police jointly announced the arrest of David L. Dixon, 41, of Sharpsburg.

Dixon was said to have been staying at a Sandy Township residence when the United States Marshal Fugitive Task Force consisting of U.S. marshals along with members of the FBI, Pennsylvania state parole, Pittsburgh City Police and Allegheny County sheriff’s office along with Sandy and DuBois officers executed a felony arrest warrant on Dixon for charges stemming from a February incident involving a 5-year-old Allegheny County girl.

Dixon, who is listed as a Megan’s Law offender, was found by police to be hiding under a bed upon police entry. Police report Dixon resisted arrest, and a struggle ensued while attempting to take Dixon into custody.
