CLEARFIELD – After a brief executive session, the Lawrence Township Supervisors took action on police officer Matthew Houser.
The supervisors reinstated Houser effective Feb. 26 at full, pay, then approved placing him on paid administrative leave at his hourly rate of $19.30. The supervisors did not comment on the action.
Houser was in the news recently after new allegations against him surfaced. Houser was charged with simple assault and harassment following an alleged altercation with a woman on March 3. He was arraigned on March 4 and released on $2,500 unsecured bail.
Police also began investigating an incident in which the alleged victim in that case damaged Houser’s truck.
Houser’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for Wednesday at Clearfield County Jail.
