DUBOIS – While the world moves ahead as part of the digital revolution, sometimes the human touch is still an important thing to consider.
People calling the DuBois City Building from now on will experience human interaction. In the past, callers were greeted by a recorded voice that prompted them to enter extensions or, if the extension was unknown, to dial the first three digits of the intended party’s name.
Mayor John “Herm” Suplizio announced that is no longer the case. Suplizio said that callers will initially be greeted by a city employee, who will then direct their call to the intended person.
“This has been one the biggest requests since I’ve been mayor,” said Suplizio. “We’ve went more user-friendly.”
“Some people may think we are going backwards,” said Suplizio. “But we are going forwards.”
