DuBois Drug Bust Defendant Pleads Guilty

CLEARFIELD – One of the many people involved in the DuBois Drug Bust last June was sentenced on Monday.

Michelle Banks, 23, Brockway, was sentenced to seven months to two years in state prison for selling heroin to an undercover officer. In another case where Banks sold heroin to an undercover officer, she was sentenced to three years probation. For a charge of selling a non-controlled substance to a confidential informant, Banks was sentenced to two years probation to run concurrent to previous sentences. In that case she sold what she said was cocaine to the confidential informant.

All of the sales occurred in 2005.

Banks addressed Clearfield County Judge Paul E. Cherry. She stated that she wished she could go back and that she let drugs control her life.

“I am fully responsible for all that I’ve done,” said Banks.

Banks was also sentenced for over $2,200 related to multiple theft by deception charges.
