Group for Kids and Teens Sponsored by DRMC

DUBOIS – HUGS, Helping Understand Grief Stages, is a support group for children in grades kindergarten through six and for teens grades seven through 12 who have experienced the death of a loved one.

Grieving children and teens will have the opportunity to share their experiences and feelings in a safe and supportive atmosphere. The program aims to help children and teens understand that death is a part of life, the many feelings brought on by the death of a loved one, gain coping skills and be able to identify with others who have also had a loss through death.

The two groups will meet separately but at the same time for six consecutive Tuesdays from March 20 through April 24 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the DuBois Regional Medical Center’s Home Health/Hospice Conference Rooms, 100 Hospital Ave., DuBois.

This service of DRMC Hospice is made possible through a grant from The Gray Family Foundation. There is no fee to participate. There is no obligation to attend every session.
