Winter Weather Returns to Clearfield County

CLEARFIELD – A snow squall affected much of Central Pennsylvania late Thursday morning, bringing with it low visibilities and poor road conditions in some places.

According to the National Weather Service, the snow will rapidly drop visibilities in the squall to less than a quarter-mile. Drivers are asked to use extreme caution if they must travel into or through the potentially dangerous snow squall.

Temperatures are expected to remain close to freezing for much of the area. This could result in icy patches on untreated road surfaces.

Another band of precipitation will come into the area on Sunday, bringing with it sleet and freezing rain.
