Officer Randall Young Named DuBois City Police Officer of the Year

DUBOIS – One City of DuBois police officer received high honors at the regular meeting of DuBois City Council on Feb. 12.

Officer Randall Young was named the 2006 Officer of the Year by recently named Chief of Police Ron LaRotonda.

LaRotonda said that Young has led the force for several years with the highest quality of enforcement, and that he has been recognized by other agencies for his assistance in many high profile cases.

“I really appreciate the job you’ve done,” said John “Herm” Suplizio, mayor. “It’s a worthy award and you deserve it.”

Young’s name, and the name of future Officers of the Year will be on display with a new plaque at the city building.
