Elk County Crimestoppers, Valley Farm Market Offering Reward in Weedville Armed Robbery

WEEDVILLE – Vally Farm Market in Weedville was the subject of an armed robbery on Jan. 29, according to a press release from the Elk County Crimestoppers.

The release states that an unknown man entered the market holding a gun at his side. He ordered the clerks to give him cash from the registers, which they did. The man then fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.

He is described as a white man, 5 feet, 8 inches to 6 six feet tall, and of medium build. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, a gray or light colored knit hat, a red or burgundy bandanna covered his face, dark pants and gloves. The handgun was described as a silver colored semi-automatic with black grips.

Elk County Crimestoppers, in conjunction with Valley Farm Market are offering a reward of up up to $2,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the man responsible for this crime.

All callers and reward recipients stay completely anonymous. When an individual calls the tip line at 1-800-775-2030 they are given a code number and no names are used. The caller is asked to call back in one month so that local law enforcement agencies can investigate the tip. If the information leads to an arrest, the caller will be given information on how to pick up their reward without anyone knowing who they are.
