Update on Turnpike Avenue Robbery

CLEARFIELD – Clearfield Borough Police Department released the names of the two people involved in a burglary on Turnpike Avenue on Jan.20.

Jeremy Zelenky, 21, and Curtis Stiner, 20, both of Morrisdale were arrested for their parts in the burglary.

Earlier in the week, police reported a burglary on Turnpike Avenue. In that report, police stated that a homeowner awoke to to find an intruder in her home. The person fled with a safe belonging to the woman. The safe contained money, jewelry, prescription drugs and important documents. At the time, police had one man in custody on a warrant and were aware of an accomplice.

Zelenky was charged with burglary, tampering with evidence, trespass and related charges. He is in Clearfield County Jail in lieu of $50,000 straight bail. Stiner is charged with criminal conspiracy, receiving stolen property, tampering with evidence and related charges. He is also in CCJ in lieu of $10,000 straight bail.

Police were able to recover some of the stolen items.
