CLEARFIELD – Lawrence Township is adding $150,000 to the loan for a new aerial truck.
The change comes due to a $150,000, 2 percent loan, that Lawrence Township Fire Co. No. 6 (Hyde Fire Co.) is taking out with the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency, according to township secretary Barb Shaffner.
The full cost of the truck, purchased from Allain Equipment Manufacturing Ltd. of New Brunswick, Canada, is $521,662.
An ordinance had to be approved at a special meeting Wednesday to change a lease that has the township borrowing funding from M&T Bank for 10 years.
