Charges Dismissed Against ‘Operation Road Block’ Defendant

CLEARFIELD – Charges have been dismissed against one of the seven men arrested in “Operation Road Block” in May.

The charges, including delivery of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and criminal conspiracy, were dismissed this month by Clearfield County President Judge Fredric J. Ammerman following a pre-trial motion.

Nils Hagen-Frederiksen, deputy press secretary for the Pennsylvania office of the attorney general, said the office is still reviewing the case and determining what the options are for appeal.

Kester’s charges stemmed from a five-year investigation into an alleged drug trafficking ring in and around Curwensville.

Pennsylvania Attorney General Tom Corbett said the alleged kingpin of the organization was Robert “Mutt” Prisk of Curwensville.

Prisk owns and operates a trucking company that Corbett said was used to sell, store and use marijuana and cocaine. Prisk’s home was also used for drug activities.

Charges remain filed against Prisk, Allen Sheen, Pete Miele, Charles Bloom, Dave Bressler and Amos Brimmer.

Prisk’s girlfriend, Sue Zortman, was charged in the operation late last year.

Zortman was served with a warrant at the home she shares Prisk in May 2005. While there, Zortman is alleged to have told officers that she was involved in the drug distribution with Prisk. She told officers that she helped Prisk separate marijuana into smaller bags for delivery.
