Corsica Woman Pleads Guilty to Endangering the Welfare of a Child

CLEARFIELD – A Corsica woman was sentenced for endangering the welfare of a child and other charges on Tuesday.

Holly Clinger will serve nine months in Clearfield County Jail for that crime, as well as two years probation. On a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia, Clinger was sentencted to one year concurrent probation and was ordered to complete drug and alchohol counseling at Gateway. Clinger also pleaded guilty to a charge of retail theft.

According to Assistant District Attorney Anne McDonough, Clinger and an alleged accomplice were in the Sandy Township Wal-Mart when they were confronted about a possible retail theft. At that time, either Clinger or her accomplice hid a syringe in a nine-months old child’s pants that was with them.
