CLEARFIELD – A 29-year-old Clearfield man was arrested Monday night after he reportedly assaulted a woman on Sunday.
Matt Kunkle is accused of two counts of simple assault, one count each of recklessly endangering another person, harassment, and terroristic threats.
According to officials, police received a call on Monday about the Sunday incident. During the alleged incident, Kunkle and a woman were involved in a domestic dispute that became physical when Kunkle began choking the woman. At some point this stopped, and a short time later the altercation became physical again.
Kunkle was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Richard Ireland and is in Clearfield County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail.
