SINNEMAHONING – The second annual Sinnemahoning Sportsmen’s Association coyote hunt is scheduled for Feb. 16-18.
Areas designated for the hunt are Clearfield, Cameron, Centre, Clinton, Potter, Tioga, Elk and McKean counties. All of the counties are located in Northcentral Pennsylvania and have a large coyote population.
Each participant must be registered for the hunt, and hunters should remember that when hunting in groups, the entire group must be registered or the entire group will be disqualified.
Registrations will be taken at the large pavillion at the Sinnemahoning Sportsmen’s Club in Sinnemahoning Jan. 13, 20, 27 and Feb. 3 and 10 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Registration and membership applications are also being accepted by mail.
Registration will also be taken at Grice Gun Shop, 216 Reed St., Clearfield, Jan. 27 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Jan. 28 from noon until 5 p.m.
Hunt organizers said the hunt is being held in the most scenic section of Pennsylvania.
