CURWENSVILLE – All fees at Curwensville Lake will remain the same for 2007.
Curwensville Lake Park Manager Mark Washic suggested that watercraft mooring fees be upped for teh new year, noting that Curwensville Lake’s fees are the least expensive of all Army Corps of Engineers facilities in the area.
The Clearfield County Recreation and Tourism Authority noted that the county’s population is aging and incomes are lower here than in other Army Corps project sites.
Several members noted the value the lake provides. “The lake is certainly worth it, it’s improved,” said Wes Weymers, CCRTA president.
The board voted unaniamously to retain the current fees rather than slow momentum seen in the lake’s attendance growth.
