DuFast Scammers’ Trial to Begin Monday

CLEARFIELD – A trial for two DuBois natives accused of embezzling a large amount of money from DuFast Transit is set to begin on Monday.

Laurie Ferraro faces more than 200 counts relating to the overall incident, and Elaine Kost faces more than 100 counts. In both cases, both women face a large number of felony counts.

Both women were employees with DuFast Transit when the overall incident was alleged to have occurred. One of the women is said to have amended the minutes to board meetings, giving herself and the other bonuses and such that the board did not approve.

The incidents were discovered through an audit.

The trial is set to begin at 9 a.m. Monday morning before Clearfield County Judge Paul E. Cherry.
