PHILIPSBURG – A Boggs Township couple accused of harassing a Boggs Township supervisor will pay $100 each plus court costs after a decision was entered by Magisterial District Judge Allen Sinclair.
Frank Norris, 60, and Paula Norris, 55, were alleged to have followed Boggs Township Supervisor William Dickson from the October Boggs Township meeting to Alice’s Pub in Philipsburg.
Frank Norris entered the bar/restaurant’s parking lot with his high beams on, driving so close to Dickson, who was walking through the lot, that he had to back out of the way. Frank Norris and Paula Norris then went into the restaurant to order take-out food, with Paula Norris using her cell phone to take a photograph of people gathered in the business with Dickson.
In making his ruling, Sinclair reduced the fine from the original $300 plus court costs to $100. The summary offenses could have carried a penalty of up to a $300 fine plus 90 days in jail.
The couple will have 30 days from Dec. 15 to appeal the ruling.
