CLEARFIELD – A new traffic signal along U.S. Route 322 near Philipsburg was activated in flash mode on Tuesday, but full operation has been delayed.
Due to some finish work for the new signal that is impacted by cold, wet weather, the signal will remain in flash mode until Monday.
PennDOT had previously that the light would be in full operation of the signal on Friday.
The signal is located in Rush Township, Centre County, at the intersection of Ninth and Railroad Streets.
According to the new schedule, PennDOT will activate the signal in full working mode (red, yellow, green) on Monday and monitor for 30 days.
Installation of the new signal was performed by Bruce & Merrilees Electric Co. of New Castle.
PennDOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey posted speed limits and to always buckle up.
