Philipsburg – Someone forgot to tell P-O this was supposed to be a close match. The Mounties came out smoking, building a 29-0 lead that Clearfield was able to cut in to, but was never able to get closer than 17 points at 35-18.
The match started at 103 and Clearfield didn\’t get their first win until Richie Queen\’s pin at 145. Doug Gisewhite and Lee Zalno also picked up pins for the now 0-1 Bisons.
The best bout of the night was at heavyweight where Clearfield\’s Sean Owen scored a late takedown to beat Mike Horton, who had beaten #2 ranked Nate Knepp earlier in the week.
Clearfield will take to the road on Tuesday night when they start their D9 schedule at Bradford.
