DuBois Students go to Hospital After Bus Accident

REYNOLDSVILLE – DuBois-based state police report that four students from the DuBois Area School District were taken to the hospital after the bus they were on was involved in an accident.

According to the report, the accident occurred at about 3:30 p.m. The accident occurred at the intersection of state Routes 322 and 2033. A vehicle driven by a 28-year-old Clearfield Woman was traveling east on SR 322 when she struck the side of the school bus, which was traveling across SR 322. The bus was driven by a 60-year-old Reynoldsville woman.

Several agencies responded to the accident, including the Reynoldsville Police Department, Reynoldsville Volunteer Fire Dept., Reynoldsville Emergency Medical Service, DuSan EMS, DuBois EMS and Jefferson County Emergency Management Agency.

Most of the students were released, while four were taken to DuBois Regional Medical Center-West for treatment of minor injuries.

The incident is still under investigation, according to police.
