CORSICA – One person was taken to Brookville Hospital following a school bus accident on U.S. Route 322 last week.
State police at DuBois recently released a report that said Christina Burleson, 33, of Brookville pulled out in front of a school bus at about 3:20 p.m. Nov. 22 as the bus was traveling near Corsica in Jefferson County
Burleson’s vehicle was pushed 34 feet to the northern berm of U.S. 322 as it rotated 90 degrees. The bus traveled about 18 feet after impact.
The school bus driver, Daniel Rankin, 29, of Brookville, was not injured, nor was a juvenile male who was on the bus at the time of the accident.
Police were assisted at the scene by the Corsica Volunteer Fire Department.
