Person Attacked in Clearfield Borough

CLEARFIELD – Clearfield Borough Police Department reported that a person was assaulted by multiple people in front of the post office in Clearfield on Monday night.

The person stopped at the station at 11:40 p.m. to report to police that he had been assaulted and robbed. Police immediately summoned an ambulance for the person due to the extent of his injuries.

The person said he was attacked in front of the post office and that he did see the people who attacked him. They made off with a maroon Jansport backpack that held books and other belongings.

Police are asking the public if they have any information about the incident or the whereabouts of the belongings to contact them the Clearfield Borough Police Department.

Clearfield Borough Police were assisted by Lawrence Township and Curwensville Borough Police Departments as well as Clearfield Emergency Management Services.
