Few Votes Separated Swann and Rendell in Clearfield County

CLEARFIELD – When the unofficial results came out Wednesday, Pennsylvania learned that it would be four more years for Gov. Edward G. Rendell.

He garnered 60 percent of the vote statewide to Republican challenger Lynn Swann’s 40 percent.

In Clearfield County, though, voters sided with the Steelers legend.

Only 108 votes separated the two here with Swann taking in 49.68 percent of the vote to Rendel’s 50.09.

Fifty-nine voters wrote in their votes for the gubernatorial race.

All results from the election are unofficial until certified by the board of elections in each county.
