Grampian Man Arrested after Fleeing Police

CURWENSVILLE – A Grampian man could be in trouble with the law after he fled from Curwensville Borough Police Saturday and was then found to be in possession of suspected drugs.

Police said officers attempted to stop a vehicle on Susquehanna Avenue Saturday at 1:20 a.m., but the driver of the vehicle fled south on state Route 453. It was only after the vehicle became disabled that police were able to take the driver into custody.

It was then that officers found that the driver was in possession of several bags of suspected marijuana.

He was transported to Clearfield County Jail for violating his probation. Other charges could be filed after the suspected drugs are tested.

Police noted that several vehicle violations were also discovered.
