CLEARFIELD – Jury selection for the civil court case between Camille “Bud” George, D-74 of Houtzdale, and John Gallagher, manager of the Houtzdale Municipal Water Authority, is set to begin Thursday morning.
At issue is whether George assaulted Gallagher in the lawmaker’s office more than a year ago.
Criminal charges were never filed in the case.
Gallagher has alleged that an argument escalated and led to George grabbing Gallagher by the neck and pushing him up against a wall.
The case will go to trial Nov. 8, one day after the election in which George will run against Richard Hansel.
