Habitat Home Selection Process to Begin

CLEARFIELD – Habitat for Humanity of Clearfield County will hold two meetings to help select a family for its new home in Clearfield, the ninth project to be built by the organization.

Slated for Oct. 17 and 26 at 7 p.m. at the Clearfield County Career and Technology Center on River Road in Clearfield, the meetings will give prospective homeowners an overview of HFH policies and requirements and applications will be distributed. Attending a meeting is mandatory to receive an application.

The meetings are open to anyone interested in becoming a Habitat family.

To qualify for a Habitat for Humanity home, applicants must fall within low income guidelines, live in inadequate housing, be able to repay a no-interest, low-cost monthly mortgage and be willing to contribute 500 hours of volunteer work to a Habitat project.
