Two Arrested After Incident in Hyde

CLEARFIELD – A man and woman were placed in jail after an incident at the Uni-Mart in Hyde over the weekend.

Lawrence Township Police were called to the Uni-Mart after a report of a theft. Police placed Ricky Lucas in handcuffs and placed him in the back of a patrol car. Jennifer Haversack Lucas freed the man from the back of the car and both fled.

The K-9 from Curwensville Borough Police was brought in  and able to track Jennifer, who was apprehended. Ricky was later apprehended.

Both were arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Richard Ireland. Jennifer is charged with aggravated assault on an officer, simple assault, resisting arrest, escape, disorderly conduct, public drunkenness, and other charges.

Ricky is charged with retail theft, escape, criminal trespass, three counts of disorderly conduct, public drunkenness, and other charges.

Both were placed in Clearfield County Jail. Jennifer is being held in lieu of $50,000 straight bail and Ricky is being held in lieu of $35,000 straight bail.

Their preliminary hearing is scheduled for Oct. 11 at CCJ.
