CLEARFIELD – At the request of Knox Township residents, PennDOT District 2 placed a radar-controlled speed display sign along Turkey Hill Road near O’Shanter on Wednesday.
The speed display sign will remain on location for about two weeks and will register the speed of vehicles traveling on Turkey Hill.
The speed display sign uses radar and determines the speed of oncoming traffic. Those vehicle speeds are then posted on the lighted section of the speed display sign.Above the speed display is another sign showing the posted speed limit for that section of Turkey Hill Road.
The state police will be monitoring the section of Turkey Hill Road where the speed display sign is located.
