CLEARFIELD – At the request of Burnside Township residents, PennDOT/District 2 will place a radar controlled speed display sign along Ridge Road near Harmony Area School on Monday. The speed display sign will remain on location for about two weeks and will register the speed of vehicles traveling on Ridge Road.

The speed display sign uses radar and determines the speed of oncoming traffic. Those vehicle speeds are then posted on the lighted section of the speed display sign. Above the speed display is another sign showing the posted speed limit for that section of Ridge Road.

The state police will be monitoring the section of Ridge Road where the speed display sign is located.
