Hospice Chili Bowl Winners Announced

Competition was hot at the annual Hospice Chili Bowl Thursday.

Winners included Casanova Nostalgia in the Restaurant Division. The creation, dubbed Italian Stallion, was made by Joe Scalzo. 

In the Church Division, first place went to West Side United Methodist Church with cook Don Beauseigneur who made Footprints in the Sand. Second place in the division went to Cherry Corner Bible Church with cook Clayton Hixon and Down on the Farm 
            
The Physician Division saw Dr. Doug Yingling winning with Bad to the Bone made by Missy Sell, Mary Ann and Bill Crites. Second place went to the Clearfield Center for Children’s Care made by Jeff Achmoody with Captain Cool & the Coconuts. Third place went to Dr. Thomas A. Carnevale for Paul Bunyon Great North made by Gary and Lori Mills     

In the open division, the win went to WDBA — The Christian Station. The creation, Radioactive, was made by John Meholick. Second place, made by Mountain Laurel Soxexho Senior Services, was Pat’s Hot Pepper made by Pat MacCollum. Paris Uniform Rental took home third place with Mary Ann Bassaro’s Sandy Shore. High Tide, made by Bob Bassaro, took fourth for Paris Health Care Linen Service.

The Artistic Award went to Clearfield Professional Group with Witch’s Brew.

Chemo Clinic and Kris Strattan and the Lifeguards with Red Flag Chili on Kimo Beach won the Spirit Award. 

The Humanitarian Award went to Clearfield Center for Childrens Care, which raised $757.11  

The total money raised from all of the donation jars next to the chili entries was $3,231.57.
