GREENWOOD TOWNSHIP – The job superintendent for the new Hampton Inn in Clearfield died in an accident Tuesday in Greenwood Township.
State police at Clearfield say Stanley A. Toloczko, 48, of McKeesport, was traveling south on state Route 219 when he lost control of his vehicle, spinning it counter-clockwise and across the center line. Toloczko’s vehicle was then struck in the passenger side door by a large truck operated by Terry L. Shellhammer of Johnstown.
Toloczko died as a result of his injuries. He was not wearing a seat belt.
Shellhammer was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.
Police were assisted at the scene by the Mahaffey Fire Co.
Reports say Toloczko was on his way to Clearfield for a job meeting for the new motel.
