Hyde — The Clearfield 8th and 9th grade teams took to the field Thursday night looking for a bit of revenge for the varsity loss on last Friday night against the Bradford Owls.
The 8th grade game had an eerily similar look to the varsity game. Bradford scored on one long run after another as they blasted the Bisons 54-14. Clearfield\’s two touchdowns were on a kick off return and a 99 yard pass.
The play of the 9th grade team, particularly the defense, bodes well for the future. The Junior High raised their record to 2-0 on the young season with an impressive 20-7 score.
Trey Campman for the second week in a row scrambled for a long touchdown run. He later tossed a touchdown pass under heavy pressure to Derek Morgan. The third touchdown was a blast up the middle by Tyler Davis.
Clearfield will take their undefeated record on the road for the first time when they travel to DuBois on Thursday.
