Speed Display Sign Coming to Curwensville

CURWENSVILLE – At the request of Curwensville Borough residents, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation will place a radar-controlled speed display sign along State Street Monday. The speed display sign will remain on location for about two weeks and will register the speed of vehicles traveling on State Street.

The speed display sign uses radar and determines the speed of oncoming traffic. Those vehicle speeds are then posted on the lighted section of the speed display sign. Above the speed display is another sign showing the posted speed limit for that section of State Street.

State police will be monitoring the section of State Street where the speed display sign is located.
