Philipsburg Woman Arraigned on Drug Charges

PHILIPSBURG – On Aug. 30, Sarah C. Holden of Philipsburg was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Allen Sinclair on various drug-related charges.

The 21-year-old Holden was alleged to have sold heroin to an undercover police officer July 20 along state Route 350 in Rush Township, Centre County.  This was the second time in which a controlled purchase of heroin was conducted involving Holden, according to the state police Troop G Vice and Narcotic Unit.

Holden was taken into custody Aug. 25 and was found to be in possession of a stolen cell phone from Vaux Electronics in Philipsburg.

Holden faces charges of delivery of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and receiving stolen property.

Holden is being held in Centre County Jail in lieu of $5,000 straight bail.
