DuBois City Officers Investigated 56 Incidents Last Weekend

DUBOIS – A total of 56 incidents in DuBois City warranted officers being called to investigate between Friday and Sunday.

Two boys were arrested for the theft of a motor vehicle, and officers responded to a Knarr Street residence for an attempted break-in.

Officers issued one warrant, investigated eight traffic offenses and found two people to be driving under the influence. Police had one medical emergency and one narcotics report. Officers also responded for three miscellaneous service calls.

Seven disturbances or fights necessitated police action during the weekend.

Police investigated four criminal mischief reports, one civil matter and four animal complaints. Officers responded for three motor vehicle accidents without injuries and assisted other police departments three times.

Two calls were received for disorderly conduct, with one report each for theft from automobiles, drunkenness, lost or missing property and to check the welfare of a person.

Officers assisted one motorist and assisted mental health with one call.

Officers also responded for a runaway boy during the weekend.

One call each of harassment, harassment by communications, wires or poles down and domestic disturbances were reported. Police were made aware of two suspicious people.
