Twilight Eve Readies for Celebration

CLEARFIELD – In a very short time, the lazy days of summer will be nothing more than a distant memory as tiny bits of the white stuff blanket Clearfield County.

Before the year winds down, and we plow into the middle of winter, Twilight Eve 2006 will ring in the New Year, family- and community-style.

The event will take place throughout the Proffessional Office Park on Leonard Street.

The project includes music from Zupe, a one-man band, and One Lane Bridge, playing country, oldies and ’70s music. Children’s games, a parade and horse and buggy rides will also be found during the festivities. A dance and bonfire are planned as well.

For the event to go off, organizers are in need of some help from the businesses of the community. Ice sculptures are being sold that will then be displayed at the festival.

Each sculpture will then be illuminated, and all proceeds benefit local charities.

Sculptures can be anything from the company logo, a Christmas tree, penguins, a nativity scene or an ice castle. For information on the sculptures, contact Tim Klock at 937-4720 or Cindy McMurray at 765-2904.
