Philadelphia Man Arrested After Drugs Found in Car on I-80

KYLERTOWN – Drugs were found in a disalbed vehicle on Interstate 80 on Friday, according to Pennsylvania State Police-Clearfield.

Israel Marte Rodriguez, 28, Philadelphia, gave troopers consent to search his vehicle. Trooper Brett Hanlon and his search dog Brenda were called to the scene. Discovered within a black duffel bag were two baggies, one with heroin, the other with cocaine.

The suspected narcotics were field tested and gave positive indicators. The preliminary weight of the heroin was 40 grams, and the cocaine was six grams. Troopers also seized $300 in cash and a 1998 Dodge Caravan.

Rodriguez was taken into custody, and was charged with manufacture or delivery or possession with intent to deliver.

Rodgriguez is currently being held in Clearfield County Jail in lieu of $100,000 straigt bail.
