Trzyna Steps Down as City Manager of DuBois City

DUBOIS – With good luck and best wishes, Ronald Trzyna gave his resignation to the DuBois City Council Monday night.

Trzyna, who served as city manager since May 7, 2001, noted in his letter of resignation that his last day will be Sept. 13. After the meeting, Tryzna said that he is leaving his position for career move.

“My decision to leave the City of DuBois was made after long and careful consideration of all factors affecting the City of DuBois, my family, and my career,” Tryzna wrote in his letter. “Although I regret leaving many friends here, I feel that the change will be beneficial to all parties.

“Finally, I can only express my sincere appreciation to council and city employees for the support, cooperation, and encouragement over the past several years,” wrote Tryzna.

“I will always remember my time at the City of DuBois for the personal growth it afforded and for the numerous friendships engendered,” noted Tryzna.

Council member Randy Schmidt wished Tryzna the best of luck, as did DuBois Mayor John “Herm” Suplizio.

Suplizio asked members of council to give him any special requests for qualifications they might have for the next city manager by Aug. 24. Suplizio said a search committee will be formed to find the next city manager. Until a new manager is found, DuBois City Council will meet on Thursdays at 4 p.m. to fill that role. These meetings will be open to the public.
