I-80 Closed Due to Accident

DUBOIS – Travelers planning to trek to Clearfield from DuBois Thursday afternoon are being advised to find an alternate route.

A vehicle accident has forced Interstate 80 between exits 97 and 101 eastbound to be closed, according to state police at DuBois.

Police are not yet releasing any information regarding injuries suffered in the incident, which happened before 3:20 p.m. Thursday, although reports from the area indicate that several vehicles were involved.

Troopers advise people traveling eastbound on I-80 from points west of DuBois to exit the interstate at exit 97 then turn right at the end of the ramp. Drivers should then follow the roadway and re-enter I-80 at exit 101.

Police were not sure how long the closure will be in effect Thursday.
